Yes, Im Food-Obsessed

In the midst of all the busy busy busy of my life these past few months, one thing has become very clear to me.

I’m kind of food obsessed. I take a short trip to L.A. and what do I bring back with me? Food memories. I mean, really – who goes to L.A. and comes back talking about the food? Well, me, obviously.

And so it is with Pinterest, my latest online addiction. I’ve always called Twitter my home office water cooler; Pinterest has joined Twitter in that regard. (And the super awesome thing? Pinterest plays so nicely with Twitter!)

Where was I? Oh, yes. My food-obsessed mind.

So far, I’ve created 16 boards on Pinterest (and I’ll probably be creating more, some for specific writing WIPs – the possibilities are breathtaking!). And the board that’s filling up really really quickly?

This one.

Some of my recent finds? (Prepare to get hungry! And if you like to cook, inspired! Click on the links to get recipes and see more delicious pics. And maybe add a few food blogs to your beleaguered Google Reader.)

I’ve also been emailing links to my husband like crazy, in the hopes that some day in the not-too-distant future, some of these will show up in our kitchen, ready for me to gobble up.

Are you on Pinterest? What kinds of things do you find yourself pinning?

Belle, you are always leading me to new things online. I believe I discovered Twitter (way back when) from you. Now I’ll go check out Pinterest. Those pictures look fantastic. Now you know how I’ll be spending my day.

Yep. I’m hungry now. Those cream cheese sausage balls look especially tasty.

I’ll have to check out Pinterest. I’ve heard of it, but I’ve never really poked around over there.

I consider eating great food to be at least half (if not more!) the fun of traveling. It doesn’t help that I’m from an area where food is not always terribly diverse, so whenever I’m headed somewhere new, I’m always thinking of the great, interesting food I’ll be able to get there. So, here’s to collecting a ton of great food memories! ;-)

I need to move my delicious links to pinterest, but basically they are mostly food things also (a few book reviews too!) And also, if Proust can base a whole seven volumes on memories from madeleine cookies, who’s to say we are not also “classic”?!!! :–)

Me! I bring back food memories from trips. I’m on pinterest too, but I’ve hardly used it. Except for photos of outdoor, wood-burning pizza / bread ovens that I hope Mr. BFR will be building for me — one day very soon.

I’m addicted to Pinterest as well…Heather at Capricious Reader got me started and I think I spent two whole days just pinning away. My entire meal plan this past week consisted of recipes I found on Pinterest :)

That’s the second reference I’ve seen to pinterest today. I’ll have to go see what it is, although I do not need another internet time suck!

I want that meatball recipe, though.
