Visit Me at The Scene of the Blog!

FINAL Scene of the Blog LogoI’m featured at Cathy’s The Scene of the Blog today! Come drop by here to take a peek at where I do my blogging.

I am still marveling at Cathy’s perfect timing. She managed to catch me right after I had cleaned my desk. At this very moment, as I’m typing this, I can’t actually see much of my desk because I have too many things piled up here. (Yes, I’m a piler …)

I visited you and left a comment over there. I want to know more about what a book indexer does!

Kathy, I should probably write a post about book indexing – that’s a good idea. I remember the first time I discovered that creating book indexes was actually something people did for a living (I was in acquisitions at a legal publishing company at the time, and another editor asked me to proof an index). And now it’s all I do, and I have to admit, I enjoy it a lot. I’d rather be a full-time writer, of course, but until then, indexing definitely isn’t bad at all!

An empty desk doesn´t tell much about a person, but your description of your home and your habits were so much YOU :D

For the time being I have given up using my own office (can´t look over the piles) so I work and blog in our living room. I will have to do something about before or later though (probably later).

Thanks, Dorte. I was shocked when I went over to Cathy’s blog and saw how much I wrote – I think I have a tendency to write too much!

Your office sounds like mine right now. I’ve been so inspired looking at that picture of my nice clean desk, I’ve decided to clean up again today. Right now I have to climb over stacks of books to even get to my computer!

I did leave a comment there – but I just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed looking at your space and reading how you use it. I have also starting a collection of blank journals, but I am hoping to begin the writing process soon and finally use all the journals I have collected.

Molly, I’m trying out something new – my next novel (once I get these final scenes done – I’ve been procrastinating like crazy!) requires me to do some worldbuilding. So of course I decide to do something that requires more supplies – I bought a purple clipboard, looseleaf paper and a purple school binder :)

I’m using a Moleskine journal right now for my daily journal. I really like those.

Add me to the list of blank journal owners, although I do use them to keep track of the books I read and to take notes when I’m traveling. I’ll have to do tons of writing before I fill them all!

You didn’t write too much! As the weeks pass I’ve seen that the featured bloggers who write more about their spaces have the best posts with the most interaction with readers. You done GOOD!!!

That’s a relief, Cathy. I didn’t think I’d written much at all, and then I saw all those paragraphs, how long it all was!

Travel journals are so wonderful to read! I always set off with good intentions but come back with the journal as blank as when I set up (and usually accompanied by a few more I picked up while I was away).

I really enjoyed seeing your creative space and hearing a bit about indexing. I’m glad you are considering telling us more about that. I guess I have always taken indexes for granted so tell us more.
