Update: This month’s giftaway has been extended to October 31. I’ll pull two names early in November!
It’s time again for the monthly Giftaway here at MsBookish!
So, what is a Giftaway? It’s my version of a book giveaway, a celebration of all the wonderful readers who make comments here at Ms. Bookish. I enjoy each and every one of your comments, and the purpose of this Giftaway is to show my appreciation for all you.
How does it work? Each time you make a comment on a post here on MsBookish during the month of September, I’ll put your name into a hat (actually, a spreadsheet), so each comment counts as a separate entry. **In order to be eligible, however, you must comment here at least twice during the month of September.
Sometime during the first week of October, I’ll pull one name out of the hat (actually, I’ll use Random.org), and that name will be the month’s winner. So you don’t have to do anything – just comment here like usual!
What’s the gift? The winner will get his or her choice of FIVE books from my Giftaway Book Shelf (the list will be updated throughout each month so check back regularly for additions).
Shipping. If the winner’s mailing address is in the U.S. or Canada, shipping will be either via UPS Standard or regular airmail. If the winner’s mailing address is outside of the U.S. or Canada, shipping will likely be via ground/surface mail (so it will take a little longer for the package to arrive).
Some restrictions: You must be 18 years of age or older. You must comment here at least twice during the month of September. Void in Quebec and any other locations where such events are prohibited by law. Only approved comments are valid (this mainly means spam comments are not included).
Thanks again, everyone, for dropping by and commenting!

I just noticed that “void in Quebec” phrase. Some time explain to us what that is all about!

Quebec has extremely stringent laws about contests and sweepstakes. I always think it’s better to err on the side of caution
Great contest, thanks so much for being so generous. I really appreciate it even if I don’t win.
You are so generous with this and also what a tricky way to rid your house of excess books!!!

Wow, I didn’t even know about this giftaway until today! How fun – I’m so glad I comment lots!
Or try to. . .
And what’s this about the Quebec thing? Do you know for a fact that it is illegal there. Theoretically, I’m going to be moving back there in a year or less, and ideally I’ll still be having a blog and receiving review books and hosting giveaways.
I hope that won’t suddenly become illegal. Agh!

I don’t think receiving review books contradicts the sweepstakes/contests laws in Quebec, Audrey. The law deals mainly with opening up sweepstakes and contests to people living in Quebec.
I just like to err on the side of caution
