Christopher, the setup for subsequent novels must be challenging in a series. Your characters are among the more memorable series detectives, definitely. I have quite fallen in love with Bryant and May and am enjoying Full Dark House immensely right now.

Beth, I think you’ll enjoy this series. The twists are lovely to read and the characters are just delightful.

I’m glad my novel won you over in the end. As the fifth book in a series, it was important to me to provide enough information for both new readers and fans, while at the same time setting up a complicated double plot. I also try to keep the books much shorter – in the style of classic murder mysteries as opposed to the modern habit of padding novels out so that publishers can make more money. I hope you enjoy the others!

Jeanette, I am reading the first book in the series right now (Full Dark House) and it’s really good. And next up will be The Victoria Vanishes, I think! It’s a very good series – I love the writing and the characters.
