I will announce the winner of the June and July giftaway in a few days – I’m still in the process of adding commentors’ names to my spreadsheet of all comments made from June 1 to July 15.
As with the last Giftaway round, this time around, the time period for this Giftaway will run from July 16 to August 31. (Beginning in September, I’ll go back to the regular monthly giftaway.)
So, what is a Giftaway? It’s my version of a book giveaway, a celebration of all the wonderful readers who make comments here at Ms. Bookish. I enjoy each and every one of your comments, and the purpose of this Giftaway is to show my appreciation for each of you.
How does it work? To be entered into the July and August Giftaway, simply make a comment on any post here at MsBookish.com anytime between July 16 and August 31. Each time you make a comment, I’ll put your name into a hat (actually, a spreadsheet), so each comment counts as a separate entry. Sometime during the first week in September, I will pull one name out of the hat (actually, Random.org).
What’s the gift? The winner will get his or her choice of FIVE books from my Giftaway Book Shelf (the list will be updated throughout each month so check back regularly for additions). I’ve decided to expand the Giftaway so that the winner, whether US/Canada or international, will receive five books of their choice (previously it was five books for US and Canada, and two books for international winners). I do reserve the right to revert back to this previous distinction if the postage costs prove exorbitant, but hopefully that won’t be the case.
Shipping. If the winner’s mailing address is in the U.S. or Canada, shipping will be either via UPS Standard or regular airmail. If the winner’s mailing address is outside of the U.S. or Canada, shipping will likely be via ground/surface mail (so it will take a little longer for the package to arrive); however, I will check airmail costs and if the increase in costs is not exorbitant, the package will be sent via airmail.
Some restrictions: In order to win, you must be 18 years of age or older. Void in Quebec and any other locations where such events are prohibited by law. Only approved comments are valid (this mainly means spam comments are not included).
Thanks again, everyone, for dropping by and commenting!

This is a great idea, Belle! I think rewarding regular visitors and commenters is a great idea. To me, it is not about how many times one person can blog about, twitter about, stumble about a giveaway, but how much they participate on a regular basis with your blog. I have to say that I do get more excited when someone I interact with on a regular basis wins one of my giveaways. Really great idea.

I’m with Rebecca. I to see every day readers and those who interact win the “giftaways”. How fun!

How generous!
I’m really intrigued by the exclusion of Quebec. How do you know about that? Are all giveaways banned in Quebec? Would I be in trouble if I sent a book there?

Quebec has really really complicated laws about contests and sweepstakes, unfortunately. I’m not sure why.
You are so generous!

I agree with the ladies above, this is very generous (but a wonderful way to reward those who comment and provide feedback on your blog).
Cheers
