Happy Reading: Spring Readathon 2015

I’m SO excited about the Readathon! This is the first year I’ll be participating as a reader and as a cheerleader (in previous years I was only able to cheer), so this is my first official Dewey’s Readathon post.

A huge thank you to Kim at Sophisticated Dorkiness for posting about using Storify to document Readathon progress. Since I won’t actually be at home for part of the day, I’ll be using Twitter and Instagram to post updates, and I’ll be able to put these updates into my Storify throughout the day. I’ve embedded my Readathon Storify below—if there are any technical glitches with the embedding, it can also be accessed here.

Unfortunately, it looks like I can’t edit my Storify from my phone or my tablet, so there will be about a six hour stretch of time during which I won’t be able to update and republish my Storify. But I’ll continue posting updates on Twitter and Instagram, so you can catch me there!

And for those of you participating in the Readathon, happy reading!

I’m so glad you get to read this year! I love having a balance of reading and cheering. The cheering breaks up each hour, but you still get to dig into some books. Happy readathon day!

Happy Readathon! I hope Storify works well for you. It’s a little frustrating that you can’t updated on a mobile device (I tried that earlier this week and no luck). But it’s nice for curating and collecting updates throughout the day.

The Haunting of Hill House is really good and I would highly recommend it for the read-a-thon. Creepy and not too long so it should be a great book to read for this. It looks like you have plenty of good books to choose from though. I hope you are having lots of fun while reading. Keep up the great work and READ, READ, READ!

Glad I didn’t start Greenglass House during the Readathon – I was thinking about it! Thrillers are definitely the way to go. :)

I’m so glad you got a chance to read and cheer!! I remember discovering how not solitary reading could be during my first Readathon back in October of 2009, but this is the first Readathon that I wasn’t able to participate much in, which makes me sad, but I did a little reading and a little cheering, so that’s still a big win. I can’t wait until October!
