I was always a re-reader as a kid and I've loved doing so even as an adult. Now that my TBR pile is so big, though, I feel guilty when I try to re-read books. Eventually, though, I'm probably just going to give into the urge and do a whole lot of re-reading.

Like you, my re-reading has decreased in inverse proportion to the the amount Mt. TBR has increased!

I do re-read long passages, even whole chapters, when I'm writing a review ... not sure if that counts ...

I'm not much of a re-reader, although I am actively working toward becoming a better one. I just re-read a book called Kindred, which I loved and I want to re-read Jane Eyre. A lot of books are good but I don't really feel as if I need to read them again, but I am working on collecting books that are wrthy of being read over and over.

I'm not much of a re-reader. Never have been. But I will re-read a series if it's good and a new book has come out. To re-fresh myself.

Great Blog!

I'm a big re-reader, especially since I started listening to audiobooks. I like listening to books that I already loved in print. Plus certain books - usually series books like Mitford or Anne of Green Gables or Harry Potter - are comforting to me, and so if I'm going through a stressful time, I will turn to those familiar books.

Can't say I'm a big re-reader, but I do re-read favorites every so often. Just like Joanne said, it's nice and comforting to return to an old favorite (or even a more recent favorite).

Sometimes I'm not in the mood for any of the books in the TBR pile, so I know the feeling. In fact, last night, I decided to grab Pride and Prejudice and give that another read (see what you went and done, Belle?) because I was staring at my TBR pile, reading the blurbs and nothing struck my fancy...I was in the mood, apparently, for an Austenesque romance and didn't have one handy, so I had to settle for the original. :)

My tbrs piles grumble and growl too when I decide to re-read something. And I do it quite often, sometimes because I remember a book but not clearly, other times it's an old favorite - and it's comforting to return to a book I adore.

Oh and I totally didn't forget that you tagged me in the "State Of The TBR" - I've been avoiding it in the hope that all those books will miraculously shrink or possibly even get a little tidier ;) But I promise I'm gonna have it done this week - and I won't even clean up first!

I’m stopping by to say I’ve got something for you at I'm Booking It!

My rereading has declined as my TBR pile has increased, but I am, at heart a rereader. We'll see if I return to it or not...

I do reread. Funny, I never reread mysteries (and I LOVED that PD James) because I'm not interested once I know the end. But I read childhood favorites and some adult favorites too.
